Company Profile:
The original company was started in the early 1940's as the International Balsa Company (IBC) of Jersey City, NJ. The offices were located in New Jersey and the factory in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 1977, due to the death of the founder of IBC, the sale of the company to Mr. John Peak (owner of SOLARBO, England) and the economic conditions in Ecuador, the offices & production factory were moved to Miami, Florida. Once here in Miami, we became SOLARBO. Since that time we have been cutting approximately 3/4 of a million different sized sheets per week.
